This tool aims for WCAG 2.2 AA conformance in line with the European Accessibility Act 2025. Accessibility is treated as part of the build, not an afterthought: the questionnaire is a sequence of native form controls (radio groups and checkboxes inside labelled fieldsets), every interactive element is a real <button> or <a> rather than a click-handler on a generic element, and the result region is announced to assistive technology via an aria-live region so screen-reader users hear the verdict the moment it changes.

What we have done

• A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
• Colour is never the sole carrier of meaning; the obligation verdict, the per-country matrix, and the active step are all conveyed in text.
• Text and interactive colours meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio against both the page background and the card surface.
• The layout reflows to a single column at narrow viewports without loss of content or functionality, and respects the reduced-motion preference.

Known limitations

This is a work in progress and we welcome feedback. The 30-country result matrix is wide; on small screens it scrolls horizontally inside a focusable container. We are evaluating a stacked card alternative.
